What is Klarna?
Over 65 million consumers use Klarna. There are several payment methods: Betaal Nu (Pay Now), Betaal Later (Pay Later) and Betaal in Delen (Pay in Installments). Available in 14 European countries and in The United States. The payment brand is particularly popular amongst young people and in the fashion industry. Klarna can be identified by its playful character and pink payment icons during checkout.
How does Pay Later (Klarna) work?
The Pay Later method offers post payment. Because consumers only have to submit top of mind data while placing an order, checkout is easy and accessible. Consumers can place an order with Pay Later as soon as their purchase has been approved by a realtime credit check.
After receving the order, consumers can decide whether to return it or not. Consumers have 14 days to make up their mind. If the customer returns (part of) the order, Klarna adjusts the bill accordingly. Customers can snooze payment free of charge for 10 days. It’s also possible to extend the payment term with 30 days for a small additional fee.
As soon as the webshop informs Klarna that the order has been sent, Klarna will send the customer an email with the payment details, accompanied by a payment link to the Klarna App.
